my name is Melinda and my new sobriety date is Feb.26,2004.

I was sober 14 years prior to that but relapsed and came back........

My son died march 9,2003 from a drug overdose ...
The pain got to be to much for me so instead of going back to meetings I went back to my friend.....Thank god I had enough AA instilled in my brain.........I went back out December 27 2003 and within 2 months I was back.........checked into a hospital for 5 days because I was severely depressed and knew I couldn't go on that way anymore............
It was the best decision I made............Now I am back and am very grateful..........I lost my brother June 18, 2002 from this disease and my dad Jan 23, 2004..............
